Errata & Clarifications

Protagonist Overlay and Peak TENsion: Group

Reason for errata: the application of Vicissitudes was never addressed. Before Decision Cards are played, your group must decide on the intent of your upcoming actions (negotiation, combat, psionics, magic, and so on). This intent determines which Assets and Experiences you can each apply—the Monad’s decision is final.

Now, for each Vicissitude category—and separately for your Active and Passive Voice—you take the average of the highest and lowest values from amongst all group members.

Remember: in Agêratos, you always round down any fractions.

Ultimately, these mechanics aim to reflect group dynamics: skilled members supporting the less skilled, as well as overall group effectiveness emerging from group dynamics, expertise, equipment, rivalries, mood, and so on.
